Emergency Services Building

Verona Township continues to move forward with planning for Verona’s proposed Emergency Services Building. Following a rigorous RFQ process, H2M Architects has been selected as the project’s Subject Matter Expert (SME), to partner with the Township and Solutions Architecture, the project’s Architect of Record. H2M brings extensive experience designing public safety facilities nationwide, with many projects throughout New Jersey. They will provide an independent layer of expertise and review as the project moves forward. The goal is to help develop a facility that meets the operational needs of Verona’s emergency services while remaining practical, efficient, and fiscally responsible.

With H2M now on board, planning has resumed with a focus on reviewing the building program and space needs, evaluating potential site options, assessing project costs and opportunities for efficiency, and providing independent recommendations at key decision points.

45+ Years Overdue
The 1978 Verona Master Plan, as well as subsequent Master Plans, have acknowledged the need for a relocated and updated Verona Police Department (VPD). The Verona Fire Department (VFD) is currently not up to code across many areas. Prior administrations have shied away, until now.
