Summer Programs: Swim Lessons & Water Aerobics

Swim Lessons for Children and Adults*

Starfish (Ages 3-14)

Lessons are led by Star Fish Aquatics instructors and vary depending on skill level ranging from Beginner to Intermediate/Advanced and finally Stroke Development. Lessons take place three days a week for approximately 45 minutes in the morning before the pool opens to members. Upon registration, we ask that you please choose the appropriate class level for your child. The first session is an evaluation session to ensure your child is in the proper level class. This is done one at a time to ensure proper placement and a safe experience.

Adult Swim Lessons

Lessons are led by Star Fish Aquatics instructors offering Adult beginners and Adult Advanced. Lessons take place one day a week for approximately 45 minutes in the morning before the pool opens to members. Upon registration, we ask that you please choose the appropriate class level for your skill level.

Private/Individual Swim Lessons

Private/individual lessons are offered by Verona's certified lifeguards and are available during regular pool hours, Whether you're aiming to learn how to swim, refine your stroke or fit in some extra practice these sessions can be curated to meet your needs. Individual swim lessons are exclusively available for Verona Poll Members only.
Cost: $30/ 30 minute session
Dates and Times: Based on availability of authorized lifeguards
Registration: Inquire and register at the front desk of the Verona Pool entrance.

Swim Lessons/Children with Special Needs

Swim lessons for children who learn, behave or move differently. This program is designed to help children of all abilities learn how to swim and be safe in and around water. Classes take place in a more low-key environment with less noise and distraction. Instructors are experienced working with children with disabilities and special pool equipment and toys that facilitate water acclimation and learning to swim are used. This program is designed for children with anxiety, fear of water, autism spectrum disorder, sensory challenges, physical challenges, coordination delay and motor skill challenges.

Water Aerobics

Join a specially designed adult exercise program with certified trainer Paul Binder. This class is designed to help you stay active, strong and healthy with low impact exercises and movements in the water. Registration opens April 15th via Community Pass, under the Verona Waves 2025 Season Information. Please note there is a capacity for the maximum number of participants. If that limit is met, further registrants will be placed on a waitlist. If a spot opens up, they will be notified via the phone number associated with their Community Pass account.
