Unfortunately, we are not open to non-Verona residents unless you come in as the guest of a member. If you do not have a Verona address, you are unable to purchase a membership, day pass, book the gazebo, or come in on Family Nights.
For the 2024 Verona Community Pool season, the guest fees are $20.00 for an adult and $15.00 for a child. Day passes are $45.00 for an adult and $25.00 for a child. We do not offer any discounts for purchasing a large amount of guest passes at one time. We no longer add any free passes to your account.
Adult hour is every Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 to 11:00 am. Adults, those 18 years of age and older, are allowed in during this time. One child, age 5 years or younger, is allowed per adult during adult hour in the baby pool area only.
PLEASE KEEP YOUR TAGS AT THE END OF THE SEASON. When you sign up again next year, those same tags from this year will be reactivated and you can use them again. If you lose your tag or if your tag is worn out, you can purchase a new one at the front counter at the pool or at the Verona Community Center for $10 for everyone on your membership.
No. We do not offer any refunds for purchases at the Verona Community Pool, barring extreme circumstances, which have to be approved by the staff at the Verona Community Center. We cannot authorize any refund at the pool. There are absolutely no refunds if we close due to weather, and we do not offer refunds for gazebo rentals.
For the 2024 season, we offer five family nights for Verona residents only. They are June 25, July 9, July 31, August 6, and August 20. They begin at 4:00 pm and end at 8:00 pm. You must present a valid identification showing your Verona address.
Any membership is eligible to purchase a caregiver badge. It allows for one adult to come in that is not a family member. They must come in with the Verona resident on the membership. The tag is created generically as a caregiver tag, not tied to one specific person, so that the person who is the caregiver can differ from day to day.
Yes, we provide two methods of swim instruction. The first is through Star Fish Aquatics, for which you sign up at the link provided in your email from Community Pass or through the link on their page on this website, which can also be found here. The cost is $80.00 per session. These are group lessons and are in the mornings before the pool opens. The other method of swim instruction is through our lifeguards, who graciously offer individual lessons. The cost of a swim lesson through a lifeguard is $30 for a 30 minute lesson. You can inquire about which lifeguards are authorized to give lessons at the front counter of the pool, as well as pay for the lessons. You schedule them directly with the lifeguard at a time that works for both of you.
We provide picnic style tables around the pool with benches and an umbrella in the middle. We do not provide lawn chairs, lounge chairs, or other tables. However, you are more than welcome to bring your own folding beach or lawn chairs and leave them locked to one of the designated fences at the pool. If you leave it unlocked, the Pool and Township are not responsible if you lose your chairs. If an employee finds an unlocked chair, they may take it and move it to the lost and found.
Yes, you are more than welcome to bring your own sports equipment to use at the pool. Our facilities include one full size basketball court and two smaller courts, a sand volleyball pit, shuffleboard, cornhole, and ping pong. We provide limited amounts of equipment, such as a set of bean bags for cornhole, sticks and pucks for shuffleboard, as well as paddles and balls for ping pong. We also have a small number of basketballs and volleyballs. Any other equipment you would have to bring yourselves, including but not limited to tennis balls, wiffle balls and bats, soccer balls, or footballs.
Yes, you can sign up for the pool at any point between April 1 and Labor Day. However, late registration does incur a late fee. We do not offer a prorated membership if you sign up after the pool season starts.
In order to enter the pool by yourself, without an adult who is 18 or older, you must be at least 12 years of age.
Check your email for a message from Community Pass regarding any weather closures. If we are closed, another message will be sent when the pool reopens. If the pool closes due to weather after 4:00 pm, it will not reopen until the next day.
No. If the lightning alarm goes off, lifeguards will clear the water and evacuate the pool grounds. You must leave and cannot return until the pool reopens when the lightning alert system gives the staff an all clear message. This is a minimum of 30 minutes. You may not shelter in any building on the pool grounds.
If you are calling before the pool opens, or after the pool closes during the pool season, no one is present to answer. Please try again when the pool is open. If it is outside the pool season, not between Memorial Day and Labor Day, the pool is closed and no staff are present to answer your call. Please direct your call to the Verona Community Center.
There is no designated limit to how many guests one member can bring in. However, the member is responsible for the guests they bring in, including their actions and behavior. Therefore, we caution against bringing in many guests at one time, or bringing in guests you do not know well.
