Yes –Appointments are required to apply for a marriage license, please call 973-857-4832 to schedule an appointment.
Yes – Every first Monday of the month (unless that Monday fall on a holiday) appointments are available 4:30-7:00 PM for marriage license applications or walk –ins for certified copies.
Proof of identity by presenting a valid driver’s license, valid passport or state ID with photo. Proof of Verona residency for at least one applicant. Witness 18 years of age or older, with valid driver’s license. $28 application fee, check made payable to Verona Township or cash (exact change).
Please see link for Marriage License Application. Feel free to complete the application with the exception of the last page. Do not sign the application, signatures are required while under oath in the presence of the issuing authority.
Yes, New Jersey applicants can apply to the municipality that either applicant resides. If applicants are not residents of New Jersey, marriage application is submitted to the municipality where the marriage ceremony is performed.
Download the Request for Certified Copy of a Birth, Death or Marriage Record , complete it, and send it along with a copy of your driver's license, as well as any additional documentation that proves relationship to the requested document along with a $10 check ( made payable to Township of Verona) for each certified copy requested to:
