What is Accepted?
Bulk Items
Mattresses, furniture, chairs, couches, chain link fences, lighting fixtures, bed springs, rolled carpet and other large articles incident to the conduct of the property, providing weight is less than 100lbs. Remodeling and construction materials are to be disposed of privately by resident/owner and NOT included with the bulky item pick-up service.
White Goods/Metal
Refrigerators, freezers, stoves, hot water heaters, air conditioners, trash compactors, dishwashers. Metal desks, file cabinets, bicycles, metal lawn furniture, lawn mowers, metal windows frames, and other non-automotive metal items.
Additional Materials Accepted:
- Motor Oil & Anti-Freeze: There are three large tanks for motor oil and anti-freeze drop-off just inside the fence of the DPW Yard adjacent to the Recycling Depot.
- Propane Tanks: A permit must be received from the DPW Office, 10 Commerce Court Prior to disposal
- Clothing: Clothing, shoes, belts, purses, blankets, linens and stuffed toys. No household goods.
- Books: Accepts all books. 50% are repurposed and 50% are recycled and turned into new products by domestic paper mill
