Program registration dates are on the 1st and 15th of each month. Please check your specific program to check which date your registration day falls on.
For all strictly in town recreation programs, such as recreation basketball, playing time is even across all players. For intertown competitive teams such as suburban basketball, playing time is at the discretion of the coach.
Most programs do not require a tryout, however, some do. Some do not have a tryout, but rather have a workout to gauge ability across the program.
Yes, most programs have a late fee if you register beyond a certain date. Please ensure to register before that date in order to avoid paying the late fee.
In almost all cases, no, the Recreation Department does not offer refunds in any scenario. If there is an extenuating or special circumstance, please reach out to the department via email.
No. For most programs, the Recreation Department will provide all necessary equipment. If this is not the case, it will be clearly communicated during the registration process.

All parks in Verona, including Verona Park, are run by the Essex County Parks Department. The Verona Recreation Department cannot answer any questions associated with the parks.
