This class has been developed to introduce children to the fine arts. Students will be introduced to basic art vocabulary and tools to encourage them to create art. They will acquire new skills through this activity-based studio art class. Students will be introduced to drawing, pastel drawing, printmaking, painting and graphic design concepts, and sculpting with clay. Students will be introduced to color theory and will learn about primary, secondary, cool, and warm colors texture and proportions. Students will be given opportunity to explore, create, and be inspired. On the last day of classes, the students will have a showing of all their art work the last half hour of class so that your child may gain recognition for his/her achievements.
