Collaborating with the Verona Shade Tree Commission, a thorough windshield tree survey is currently in progress. Due to the increasing demand, funds have been raised by approximately 40% above the usual budget allocation to analyze, assess, evaluate, maintain, and restore township trees. This visual windshield study encompasses public right-of-way trees in the township. The outcome of this study will enable the township to effectively plan, prioritize, and allocate funds for immediate and long-term tree maintenance requirements.
Dujets Tree Experts, the new tree contractor for Verona, has been actively removing over 30 dead trees to date, responding to emergency tree removals due to storm damage, and is currently undertaking pruning and trimming tasks throughout the township. This heightened investment in our tree infrastructure aims to guarantee the safety and aesthetics of our community for years ahead. If you would like to report a tree on public property that may require maintenance or evaluation, you can do so here. This same form can also be used to request a new tree as well.
Verona's tree protection, removal and replacement ordinance, highlights the township's dedication to responsible tree management. The significance of this lies in the fact that proper tree care aids in stabilizing soil, preventing erosion, reducing stormwater runoff, purifying the air, increasing oxygen levels, diminishing noise pollution, enhancing property values, and improving the overall visual appeal of the community.

Verona is steadfast in ensuring that our community continues to be a safe and picturesque place to reside, work, and enjoy.
