In recognition of the 13th annual Drive Electric Week (NDEW) Verona Township along with the Sustainable Verona Committee, will host an Electric Vehicle (EV) Fair at the Verona Pool Parking Lot (257 Fairview Avenue) this Saturday, October 5th from 11am – 3pm.
NDEW is a coast-to-coast celebration of electric vehicles and is expected to include more than 200 events nationally.
There are now more than three million EVs on the road in the United States, and a recent survey from Cox Automotive found consumers considering purchasing an EV for their next vehicle is at an all-time high. The increased interest in EVs makes NDEW events important to educating the public about the incredible benefits of owning an EV, from cost-savings on maintenance and fuel to improved air quality, convenience and performance.
Local Electric vehicle owners will share how they drive and charge their EVs. Auto dealers will showcase the latest EV models. Attendees will learn about EVs and charging systems as well as information on NJ State rebates and Federal tax credits. There will also be food vendors, DJ music, and tables on Energy Efficiency in your home / Solar Energy options, Recycling and all things Sustainable!
